The current model for managing identity is quickly becoming unsustainable – costly, disjointed and all too fallible. But that’s about to change. SecureKey, along with a consortium of innovative partners, has developed and is launching next generation privacy-enhancing services to enable consumers to conveniently and privately assert identity information using trusted providers, such as banks, telcos and governments, helping them connect to critical online services with a digital credential they already have and trust, while ensuring that information is only ever shared with explicit user consent.

Consumers will soon have the ability to prove they are who they say they are, in person and online, with high trust and scalability by using the Verified.Me service built on IBM Blockchain utilizing Hyperledger Fabric v1.2. This digital identity and attribute sharing network will allow for the exchange of information, all the while ensuring no data is visible to the operator; that there is no central database or honeypot; that there is no central point of failure; that providers and receivers don’t know where information is going to or coming from through a triple-blind privacy approach; and that users are not being - and cannot be - tracked.
