Sasha is CTO and Chief Data Scientist at AID:Tech. Sasha originally trained to be a Cognitive Neuroscientist, finishing his BA and PhD at Cambridge. He worked at the CBSU (Cambridge) and DCCN (Nijmegen), focusing on using pattern analysis and machine learning to understand human attention and memory. He then left academia and took part in several well known accelerators, notably Entrepreneur First and Techstars, where he founded Avalon AI, a startup using neural networks for early detection of dementias like Alzheimer's Disease. His work at AID:Tech today spans data analysis and blockchain architecture and DevOps. Sasha also has contributed to the Kubernetes and Hyperledger codebases, to several courses on Hyperledger Fabric and Composer. During his eclectic career Sasha has also won 5 national and international prizes for science and technology communication, and has presented at multiple Cognitive Neuroscience conferences.
