Kari's research at Lappeenranta University of Technology focuses on new value creation based on standardized business process and IoT data integration. His research centers on how ecosystem integration can be accelerated by sharing relevant open standardized information and blockchain technology across organizations, and finding new effective methods to manage change across the supply chain.

Prior to his current position, Kari gained extensive experience in the areas of supply chain management and international trade as a executive in several European companies.
